This week in River Falls:

Friday:

  • Doll and Buggy Parade: An old fashioned doll and buggy parade will be held at 10 a.m., at Rolling Hills Park (formerly Fox’s Trailer Park). All children are welcome to participate with their decorated bikes, buggies, wagons, etc. Lineup starts at 9:30 a.m. at the park entrance, off Hwy. 35 frontage road, go north on east frontage road off Hwy. 65 (North Main Street). Festivities will begin with an Indiana University student singing the “Star Spangled Banner,” the St. Croix Sheriff’s Dept. will lead the parade, and prizes given for the top three, along with juice boxes for all the kids, free brats, hot dogs, and hamburger picnic for all.   • Music in the Park: Free concert at 7 p.m. in Veterans Park. Practical Good will perform folk and rock music.
  • Falls Theatre: Transformers: Age of Extinction at 7 and 9:45 p.m. See a preview at www.fallstheatre.com.
  • Saturday:

    • Falls Theatre: Transformers: Age of Extinction at 2, 7 and 9:45 p.m. See a preview at www.fallstheatre.com.
    • SCVBL All-Star Game: The St. Croix Valley Baseball L All-Star game will be held at 7 p.m. at First National Bank of River Falls Field.
    • Music in the Park: At 7 p.m. in Veterans Park. Group 47 will perform jazz with a trumpet lead.
    • Library lower level: Summer Science: We Believe Science Can Be Fun! How things work, why things happen, hands-on experiments, fun facts …and really lame science jokes through July 12 in the River Falls Public Library lower level.

    Sunday:

    • Falls Theatre: Transformers: Age of Extinction at 2, 7 and 9:45 p.m. See a preview at www.fallstheatre.com.

    • Fireworks: At New Richmond’s Hatfield Park at 7:30 p.m. The night includes games for kids, concession stand, music and the fireworks display. Call 715-246-2900 for more information.

    • First Friday Celebration: From 10 a.m.-7 p.m. at Seasons on St. Croix, 401 Second St., Hudson. Seconds, experiments and undiscovered art.
