  • Saturday:

    • Bird club speaker: Peregrine Falcons, Back from the Brink” will be the subject of guest speaker Andrew Weaver, biology teacher and falconer, from 1-3 p.m. at the River Falls Public Library. Sponsored by the St. Croix Valley Bird Club, this event is free and open to the public.

    • UWRF women’s basketball game: At 3 p.m. versus Whitewater at the Kargas Center on the UWRF campus.

    • Art exhibition: Historic Heat: 50 Years of Fantastic Glass from the Heartland,” a group exhibition featuring work by 28 local and regional glass artists, and “Workhorses: Pots for Everyday Use,” an exhibition of tableware, cups, jars, bowls, and trays by River Falls potter S.C. Rolf, will be on view through Jan.5 in The Galleries of The Phipps Center for the Arts. Galleries hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday noon to 4:30 p.m., as well as one hour before and through intermission of all performances in The Phipps theaters.
