  • Quilt/scarf auction and chili feed: Journey House Campus Ministry will hold a quilt/scarf auction and chili feed from 6-8 p.m., at St. Bridget Church, 211 E Division St. The cost is $7.   • ‘Vinegar Tom:’ At the Syse Theatre in Kleinpell Fine Arts building. 7:30 p.m. Focuses on women of the 17th century who were suspected, charged or even hanged for allegedly practicing witchcraft. Given the subject matter, the play is intended for mature audiences only. Tickets $11/adults, $9/seniors 60+ and $6/students. Tickets can be purchased at the University Theatre Box Office in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday, beginning Feb. 17, and one hour prior to performances.     • Greenwood Elementary School Carnival: From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., 852 E. Division St., River Falls. Free-admission, silent auction. Ticket prices for games and food cost a quarter. Families everywhere are welcome to attend and join in the fun.

    • RF Reads Event: Academic, journalist and poet Jim Lenfestey will speak on the beginnings of modern environmentalism at 2 p.m. at the River Falls Public Library.

    • Daddy Daughter Dance: From 6-8 p.m., sponsored by the River Falls School District’s Community Education program, in the high school commons. Includes souvenir photo, crafts, activities, complimentary refreshments and a disc jockey playing musical hits. Cost $25/couple, $8/additional child.     • Scout Breakfast: Ellsworth Boy Scout Troop Number 138 will hold its annual Scout Breakfast at the Ellsworth Fire Hall from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.  French toast, scrambled eggs and sausage will be served.
    • Winter Flea Market: At the New Richmond Heritage Center - Pavilion. The market will be located in the heated pavilion from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Republican Party caucus: The caucus will be held at Church of Christ at 1491 County Road A in New Richmond. The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. All members in good standing are urged to attend. Only 2014 members have voting rights, however, members in good standing in 2013 may renew their membership at the caucus and vote. The purpose of the event is to bring together a politically like-minded representation of St. Croix County residents to present resolutions or revised resolutions to the Republican Party's constitution and to elect delegates to the district and state caucus. Those looking to borrow snowshoes should contact the Nature Center at least one week in advance to reserve them. Classes are free, and vehicle admission into the park is required.
