Friday:

  • Homemade pie sale: The River Falls Area Hospital Auxiliary will host a homemade pie sale at 9 a.m., in the lobby of the First National Bank, 104 East Locust Street. Proceeds will go to hospital projects and scholarships.

  • Coffee concert series: The UW-River Falls Coffee Concert Series presents the Dvorak Quartet at noon, for a 1 hour concert. For further information contact director Dr. Kristin Tjornehoj at 715-410-7416 or the UWRF music department at 715-425-3183.
  • Falls Theatre: God’s Not Dead at 7 and 9 p.m. See a preview at www.fallstheatre.com.
  • ”Snow Angel:” River Falls High School Spring Production, produced by River Falls Community Theater. All shows 7:30 p.m. at the high school Tickets $8/adults; $5 high school students and younger.
  • Library lower level exhibit: Quilts from traditional to trendy. No longer just for the bed, the annual quilt exhibit showcases careful stitchery, amazing designs, and vibrant colors through April 20.
  • UWRF juried student art exhibition: The UW-River Falls Art Department announces the 2014 Juried Student Art Exhibition in Gallery 101 of the Kleinpell Fine Arts building through May 7. Free and open to the public. Each year students enter artwork from ceramics, computer design, drawing, fibers, glass, jewelry/metals, painting, photography and printmaking for evaluation during this juried art show. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. For more information, contact the UWRF Art Department at 715-425-3266.

    • Document shredding event: First National Bank of River Falls, 104 East Locust Street, will host a document shredding event from 8:30-10:30 a.m., at the bank. Visit www.fnbrf.com for more information.
    • Falls Theatre: God’s Not Dead 2 at 2, 7 and 9 p.m. See a preview at www.fallstheatre.com.
    • Barn Dance: From 7-9 p.m. at River Falls Academy, 439 W. Maple St. Poor Benny. $5/adults, $2.50 under 12. Inexpensive refreshments. Professional caller, all abilities welcome, couples and singles.

    Saturday:

    • Bone Marrow Match/Red Cross Blood Drive: For Toddler Danica Uetz, who has leukemia at Trinity Family Center, on Badlands Road, east of Hwy. 12, town of Hudson. Silent auction, bake sale, t-shirt sale, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Regular 5 p.m. worship service will focus on prayer for the Uetz family, spaghetti dinner follows at 6 p.m.
    • Roberts Ribbon Reapers 4-H Easter Egg Hunt: At the Roberts Park Building. The hunt is for children in third grade and younger and is hosted by the Roberts Ribbon Reapers 4-H Club. The event starts at 10 a.m. Bring a bag or basket to collect eggs. Free will donations accepted.
    • Funsters’ Easter Egg Hunt: The hunt will begin at 10 a.m. at the Pierce County Fairgrounds. Hunters must be ready to go at 10 a.m. if they don’t want to miss it. There will be candy, prizes and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. If the weather is inclement, the event will be at the Ellsworth High School gym.
    • Kiwanis Community Easter Egg Hunt: At the National Guard Armory in New Richmond. The New Richmond Kiwanis Club will be holding a community Easter Egg Hunt from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be activities for the kids, drawings for a boy and girls bike as well as a special visit from the Easter bunny.
    • Hudson Boosters Easter Egg Hunt: At 1 p.m. in Prospect Park, Hudson. Rain or shine, kids can also win new bikes. Email marrsman06@comcast.net for more info.
    • Easter Egg Hunt: At St. Croix Central High School. Sponsored by the True Blue 4-H Club and the Hammond Lions Club. The event starts at 1 p.m. and is for ages walking through grade 2. Prizes, eggs and candy.
    • Indoor Egg Hunt: By Christ Center Assembly & Harvestime Outreach at Hudson Middle School. For up to age 12. Age related hunts with candy, singing puppet shows and prizes. Hudson Fire Dept. will give tours of their fire truck, “Cluck the Chicken” will visit too. Canned donations for food shelf welcomed. 715-386-5441 for more information.
