Walk to pay tribute to veterans
Sign up ahead for "America Supports You" Freedom Walk in River Falls. This is a national effort to commemorate lives lost during the 9/11 terrorism attacks and to simply honor U.S. veteran soldiers.
The ASU Freedom Walk in River Falls starts at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at Veterans Park. The symbolic short walk will also end at Veterans Park. Participants include any citizens, Boy and Girl Scout troops, local military members and their families.
ASU Freedom Walk started nationwide in 2005. Supporters say it is developing into an American tradition. Since 2005, almost 400 such walks have taken place in all 50 states and at U.S. military installations around the globe.
