The Roe Family Singers, a good-time, old-time bluegrass band, will perform a benefit concert at Memorial Lutheran Church of Afton at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9.  The public – families in particular — is invited to this concert, and all proceeds from the free-will offering will benefit Valley Outreach, a nonprofit organization serving St. Croix Valley residents in need of food, clothing, household essentials and emergency financial assistance.

Members who will perform include Kim Roe, autoharp, washboard, Appalachian clogging, and vocal; Quillan Roe, banjo, guitar and vocal; Eric Paulson, upright bass; Ric Lee, fiddle; and Rich Rue, resonator guitar. Refreshments will be served following the perfomance.

Memorial Lutheran Church is located in Afton, two blocks west of the St. Croix River on County Highway 18. For more information, please call the church, (651) 436-1138, or see the church website, www.memoriallutheran.org.
