UWRF seniors present art exhibition
UW-River Falls seniors Lauren Forsythe, Nicole Pederson, and David Steinmetz will present their Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition in Gallery 101 of the Kleinpell Fine Arts building from March 6-13. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Forsythe of Hugo, Minn., has a major in broad area art education and a minor in psychology. She is displaying a collection of large scale fiber wall-hangings created by using Japanese dyeing techniques.
Pederson of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., has a major in painting and a minor in art history. She will be displaying a collection large scale oil and acrylic paintings depicting classical portraiture in an unconventional way.
Steinmetz of Hammond has a major in photography and a minor in printmaking and will be showcasing digital pigmented prints as well as polymer gravure prints.
A reception for the artists is set for 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 7, in the gallery. Regular gallery hours are Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. For more information, contact the Art Department at 715-425-3266.
