Utilities can cut service to delinquent accounts starting April 15
Wisconsinites with overdue electric bills are being warned that the state's winter moratorium for cutting off service is about to end.
The state Public Service Commission prohibits utilities from cutting off electric and natural gas service between November 1 and April 15 so that no one gets left in the cold. The utilities can start interrupting the service of customers in arrears in 12 more days.
The PSC urges those customers to contact their utility and set up payment plans.
