Reading event honors Dr. Suess
The UW-River Falls Falcon Fellows will host a celebration in honor of author Theodore Geisel (Dr. Suess) from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at the River Falls Public Library.
The Falcon Fellows, a group formed to offer community service and funded by the Midwest Campus Compact Citizen-Scholars Fellowship Program, will present a readers' theater, treats, activities, and a special appearance by "The Cat in the Hat," who is celebrating a 50th birthday this year. The event will highlight Dr. Suess' "Green Eggs and Ham," "Cat in the Hat" and "Hooray for Diffendoofer Day." The event is free and open to the public, and geared for children in pre-K through third grade. For more information, call Amy Lloyd, Student Support Services advisor, at 425-3531.
