Two drivers hurt in early morning crash in Clifton

A two-vehicle accident at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, sent both drivers to the hospital, including a street sweeper from the Pierce County Highway Department.

The street sweeper is Rodney Glampe, 58, from rural Plum City. The other driver is Thomas P. Ramquist, 17, rural River Falls.

The crash occurred on County Road FF, west of 1094th Street in the town of Clifton.

Ramquist , eastbound, struck Glampe who was also going east.

Glampe was part of a crew doing repairs to the road.

Both drivers were taken from the scene by the River Falls Ambulance Service. Their injuries were described as non-life threatening.

River Falls firefighters assisted the Pierce County Sheriff's Department at the scene.
