Tri-Angels playground one step closer to reality

Jessica Schaffhausen reveals the design for the Tri-Angels playground, to be built in River Falls to honor the memories of Amara, Sophie and Cecilia Schaffhausen. Also pictured is Victoria Schmitt Babb of United Play Inc., the company that will build the playground.

At a community event Thursday evening, Aug. 8, Jessica Schaffhausen revealed the design for the Tri-Angels Playground planned in honor of her daugthers Amara, Sophie and Cecilia, who were killed last year.

The playground plans incorporates a play area designed to reflect the interests of each girl, and some not-so-typical designs for typical playground features. For example, the design includes slides in the shapes of a hiking boot, soccer cleat and a high heeled-shoe. The playground is also designed to be accessible to children and caregivers of all abilities.
