Thursa Mae (McKendree) Cribbs, age 71, of River Falls, formerly of Reynoldsville, Pa., went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 25.
She was born on Aug. 6, 1941, to Peter and Mildred (Anthony) McKendree in Reynoldsville.
Thursa worked hard all her life. She was a cook for many years at the Lutheran home. Her sisters and aunts would call her Shedda Mae. She was an avid crocheter and enjoyed baking cakes. She also made pies at Red Barn in Spring Valley. Thursa was a dog lover, and her animals were important to her. Thursa loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Dorothy Baumgardner; and son-in-law Kent Snyder.
She is survived by her children, Sherri Snyder, Brian (Tammy) Cribbs, Diana (Glenn) Shacklett, and Joseph Frost; grandchildren, Nicholas (Courtney) Snyder, Erin (Jonathan) Kanouff, Ashley (Jacob) Johnson, Lyndsey Cribbs, and six other grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Hultman, William Hultman, Harry McKendree and James McKendree; sisters Carol Blair, Elaine Bish, and Lorraine Murray; and many aunts and uncles.
A memorial service for Thursa will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home in River Falls. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials are preferred to the family.
