Take Back: They are asking you to join them

Next week Thursday evening, April 24, River Falls, like many communities across the country, will hold a Take Back the Night event meant to highlight the problem of rape and sexual abuse.

Next week Thursday evening, April 24, River Falls, like many communities across the country, will hold a Take Back the Night event meant to highlight the problem of rape and sexual abuse.

Take Back starts at 6 p.m. at the playground of St. Bridget Catholic School. At 7 p.m. there will be a march down Main Street. At 8 p.m. there will be a candlelight vigil with stories told by sexual assault victims.

Take Back the Night is sponsored by the St. Croix Valley Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). Organizers say everyone is more than welcome and encouraged to participate in support of this year’s Take Back the Night.
