The Wildcat girls' swimming and diving team celebrated Parents and Senior Night with a 106-79 Big Rivers Conference dual win over Menomonie in the last home meet of the season last Tuesday.

The Cats took two of the top three spots in nine different events, including six first place finishes.

"The victory at home was a great way to showcase our swimmers and divers for our Parents and Senior Night," head coach Lynn Huiskamp said.

The Cats swept the top two spots in the first event of the night -- the 200 medley relay -- with Tessa Coggio, Grace Goblirsch, Tara Sarno and Marlayna Probst combining for a first place time of 2:03.19, and Nara Tashjian, Katie Kidd, Sofia Carlson and Mandy Hedeen teaming up for second with a time of 2:12.29.

In the 200 freestyle relay, Chelsey Morrow, Carlson, Sarno and Coggio took first in 1:48.32, while Hedeen, Emma Langer, Madison Probst and Kidd finished third in 1:57.46.

River Falls had three of the fastest four times in the 200 individual medley with Coggio winning in 2:25.8, Kidd third in 2:38.62 and Carlson fourth with 2:40.47.

Goblirsch led a group of three Wildcat swimmers in the top five in the 100 yard breaststroke with a first place time of 1 minute, 16.69 seconds. Kidd took second in 1:21.78 while Maura Watson was fifth in 1:26.28.

River Falls also had three of the top five spots in the 100 butterfly. Sarno was first in 1:07.35, Erin Pomeroy placed third in 1:14.79, and Tashjian finished fifth in 1:16.07.

In diving, Carly Jerry was first with a score of 185.05, Britta Grebner finished fourth with 137.3 and Sierra Becker was fifth with 136.05.

Morrow added a second place time of 59.92 in the 100 freestyle while Marlayna Probst was third in 1:00.31 and Carlson fifth in 1:03.09. In the 50 freestyle, Sarno was second in 27.19 seconds and Goblirsch third in 27.44.

Coggio also contributed a second place time of 1:07.77 in the 100 backstroke while Morrow was third in 1:11.91 and Tashjian fourth in 1:17.11.

Madison Probst was second in the 500 freestyle in 6:10.02 with Langer third in 6:17.17 and Lisa Humphrey fifth in 6:29.93. Madison Probst added a third place time of 2:15.43 in the 200 freestyle while Langer was fourth in 2:21.43.

In the 400 freestyle relay, Madison Probst, Morrow, Goblirsch and Marlayna Probst took second in 4:01.52, and Langer, Humphrey, Watson and Tashjian were third in 4:26.15.

The Cats will compete in another BRC dual at Rice Lake Tuesday, Oct. 20.
