Stillwater lift bridge starts summer schedule
Many may take it as a sure sign of spring when the Stillwater Lift Bridge starts its summer lift schedule for boat traffic 8 a.m. April 24.
Drivers could experience delays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 23rd while the lift span is tested and bridge operators are trained.
The bridge lifts often each summer to allow large boats to pass underneath. It lifts only for marine traffic.
If a boat operator wants to pass under the bridge between midnight and 8 a.m., they need to give the bridge tender two hours' notice by calling 651-582-1550.
