Meyer Middle School eighth grader, Jari Zoller, finished 20 out of 132 individual contestants in the 31st MATHCOUNTS state competition held on March 1 in Madison. Zoller qualified for the state competition by finishing fifth in the regional competition at Eau Claire. The non-profit MATHCOUNTS Foundation sponsors math competitions for middle school students in all 50 states and worldwide through the U.S. Department of Defense and the State Department. Zoller is the son of Jen and Panu Zoller.
