Spring Valley Stagehands cast prepares "Morning's at Seven"
SPRING VALLEY--Things are busy down at the Spring Valley Stagehands Theater.
This Tony-award winning comedy depicts a day in the life of a seemingly wholesome, but secretly eccentric, family in a small Midwestern town in the 1930s. The four Gibbs sisters are getting on in years and live in cozy but dangerous proximity. And today is a major event: Ida’s boy Homer is finally going to introduce Myrtle Brown, his fiancée of seven years.
This classic has enjoyed several successful revivals on Broadway for its gentle humor, charming characters and its portrait of a bygone America. Peterson notes, “This show is funny, sad, and heartwarming--the perfect play for the long, dark days of winter!”
The cast includes the four Gibbs sisters, played by Mary Anderson, Shelli Wood, Bonnie Haas and Linda Garfield; their husbands, played by Scott Brown, Gary Lukes and Rob Peterson; Homer, played by Matt Summers; and Myrtle, played by Karen Rominski. The cast is made up of residents of Baldwin, Woodville, Spring Valley and River Falls.
Plan now to join the Spring Valley Stagehands for this sweet, heartwarming comedy. The show will run at 7 p.m. on March 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15; and at 2 p.m. on March 9 and 16.
