Despite going 0-3 against Menomonie, Barron and Mondovi at the season-opening Menomonie Quad last Tuesday, McDonald called it a great learning experience for the girls.

"I played everyone in the quad on Tuesday," she said. "I am looking for players that I feel we have to have on the floor to be successful. Thursday at the River Falls Quad, the Cats picked up their first win of the season over Spring Valley while losing close matches to Somerset and New Richmond.
