River Falls High School senior Paige Skorseth was one of 32 senior students attending Wisconsin public and private high schools who were honored as a WIAA Scholar Athlete at an awards ceremony in Wausau Sunday, May 5.

Pictured with Skorseth at the banquet are, from left, Wildcat cross country coach Pat Lorentz, Paige's mother Lisa Skorseth, Paige Skorseth, former Wildcat gymnastics coach Shelly-Kahut-Loomis, Paige's father Pete Skorseth, and high school activities director Rollie Hall.

Skorseth is a four-year letterwinner in cross country and track and a three-time letterwinner in gymnastics and maintains a 4.0 GPA. She will be attending DePaul University on a track and cross country scholarship in the fall.

She is just the third River Falls student to receive the award, joining Jarod Wollan in 1996 and Tony Black in 1999. The WIAA Scholar Athlete program was launched in 1984 to honor scholastic and athletic excellence.
