School to hold annual carnival

Greenwood Elementary School, 418 N. 8th St., will host its annual carnival on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adults and children of all ages are invited to join in the fun.

Carnival style games will be available to play. Youngsters can also give the bounce house a try and enter to win door prizes.

Menu items available for purchase include pizza, nachos and cotton candy. Participation in the games and purchase of food items can be paid for using a number of tickets ranging from 1-10, depending on the item.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for 25 cents each.

Not only is the carnival a fun event for families to enjoy, but also serves as a fundraiser for the school.

Community members and businesses from the community as well as the Twin Cities area, donate items to be sold at the silent auction. Typical items include fitness or dance classes, jewelry, celebrity autographs, sporting goods, restaurant and hotel gift certificates, themed baskets and much more.

Funds raised are used to upgrade technology and to purchase playground equipment.

For more information about the carnival, please call the school at 715-425-1810.
