Robert "Bob" Larson, 73

Robert "Bob" D. Larson died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at the age of 73 after a short battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

After serving for 24 years as the executive director of Kinnic Falls Halfway House, Bob enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, Delores. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Kenneth; sister, Bonnie (Larson) Murray; son, Daniel; and granddaughter, Charity.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Larson-Delorme; siblings, Nancy McVeigh and Sharon Richardson; children, Jodie Clifton, Mark Larson, Cheryl Newland, Michael Larson, Steve Chase, Michael Chase, Mary Redick, Cathy Brathol, Liz Chase, Jennifer Borchardt, and Sunny Gerten; 35 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in River Falls. Memorial visitation was also held on Monday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, Bob requested that donations be made to Kinnic Falls, 900 S. Orange St., River Falls, WI 54022, for a "free bed" to a person in need of rehabilitation of alcohol and drug abuse.
