River Falls High School budget cuts?!
Passersby have wondered and joked about this plywood sign sitting outside the River Falls High School, but no -- it doesn't indicate deep budget cuts. RFHS Principal Elaine Baumann said the graduating class of 2013 decided that its gift to the school would be a monument sign, which the school has never had. After many discussions about how big the sign should be, the group decided to test some prototypes to give them a sense of the scale.
Baumann said the students are in sizing mode and may try another prototype or two before finishing. An attractive final version will be constructed in the spot sometime over the summer, and it will not be a digital sign. The principal said that for the project, the senior-class leadership team has conducted thorough research and gathered extensive input, including from potential sign contractors.
