Ten-year-old Abby Fry from River Falls has landed an acting role representing Girl Scouts in a Nestle’s Coffee-Mate national TV commercial.

Abby, a Girl Scouts member since kindergarten, is a fifth grader at Rocky Branch Elementary School. She’s the daughter of Blake and Michele Fry of River Falls.

Blake works as special assistant to the chancellor at UW-River Falls. Michele is a speech pathologist in Minnesota’s Stillwater School District.

Their daughter Abby is a Girl Scout junior in Troop No. 53022 from Girl Scouts of Wisconsin and Minnesota River Valleys.

Abby is starring in a TV commercial network spot for new Girl Scout cookie-inspired Thin Mints and caramel and coconut flavored creamers. The first commercial with Abby aired on TV Monday, Oct. 14.

“We were thrilled with the response to our casting call and were so impressed by all of the submissions,” said Gabe Chua, Coffee-Mate marketing manager. “Abby won us over with her genuine spirit and talent because she truly personifies the values of the Girls Scouts organization.”

Abby, who submitted a video of herself, was picked by a judging panel from among more than 600 online and in-person auditions last summer.
