WISCONSIN RAPIDS - River Falls prep cross country runner Trent Powell placed fourth and the Hudson girls team finished 10th at the 101st WIAA State Cross Country Meet Saturday at The Ridges Golf Course.

Powell placed fourth in the Division 1 boys' race. His finishing time on the 5000-meter course was 15:58.13. Madison West's Olin Hacker took first in 15:46.19. 

Hudson's Jack Kadidlo also ran in the D-1 boys' race. He finished in 19th place with a time of 16:23.

Hudson's girls were 10th in the D-1 girls standings with 276 points. Sixteen teams competed in the meet. Hartland Arrowhead finished first with 84 points followed by Whitefish Bay with 122. 

Sadie Kroll had Hudson's best individual time, placing 28th in 15:13.

River Falls's Annie Frisbie also competed in the girls' D-1 meet. She finished 24th in 15:07.
