RF police try to find those responsible for rash of auto break-ins
River Falls Wisconsin 2815 Prairie Drive / P.O. Box 25 54022

A half-dozen vehicles parked in the Heritage Park lot, 200 block of West Maple Street, had either windows or windshields smashed overnight Tuesday into early Wednesday morning, April 16-17. Miscellaneous personal items visible inside, such as jacket, cellphone, cellphone charger cord, key and more, were also stolen. No one's been caught.

Police Chief Roger Leque said there has also been other scattered and unsolved auto vandalisms recently in the city.

In the Heritage Park vandalism spree, police say a rock was used to break a windshield in at least one case. It also appears as if apples were thrown to break other windows.

Leque is asking that people who know anything about the vandalisms to call police at 715-425-0909 to speak to an officer.

Leque also encouraged drivers to park in well-lit areas, lock their doors and not leave any valuables in plain sight.
