Relay For Life raises $150,000
A crowd of people poured into the River Falls High School gym Friday, March 28, for the start of this year's Relay For Life.
The opening ceremonies started at 6 p.m.
Teams of 15 people camped out--with tents and sleeping bags--at the high school and took turns walking around the track.
Each team was asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.
Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event. It offers local residents the chance to participate in the fight against cancer.
According to Kellie Burrows, of the American Cancer Society, the event was very successful, and raised around $150,000.
