STILLWATER, MINN.: Croix Chordsmen offer Valentines
The Croix Chordsmen will offer singing Valentines area residents in western Wisconsin can order for Friday through Sunday, Feb. 12-14. A $40 donation, which goes to the group's Youth in Harmony fund, will buy two songs, a rose, a box of candy and a card to a person of choice. HUDSON: RF actor has role in 'Willy Wonka'
Mack Ballard, of River Falls, has a major role as Charlie Bucket, in The Phipps Center for the Arts' presentation of "Willy Wonka," which will be staged at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Feb. 12 through 28. The production is based on the children's novel by Roald Dahl. Tickets are $20 for adults; $18 for students 13 and older with a current I.D. HUDSON: Preschool class features owls
A preschool class will be offered at Willow River State Park from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday or Wednesday, Feb. 9 or 10. Owls will be the featured topic. Cost is $10 per child. HUDSON: Concert to raise funds for Turningpoint
In a guest appearance keyboardist Neal Doughty, a member of REO Speedwagon, will perform at the annual Hot Air Affair concert held from 8-11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Best Western Hudson House Inn to raise funds for Turningpoint abuse shelter in River Falls. Goodwill cash donations will be accepted at the door. In addition to the concert, the event will include a silent auction, food, beverages, and an autograph session with Doughty.
