The girl apparently made this joking comment to the boy, "Go, black Oprah," that bothered him because of other racial comments he hears. He said he just snapped.Tried to force their way into a locked apartment at 407 S. Wasson Lane because of what sounded like fighting inside and yelling and crying from a distressed woman. Officers were unable to break down the door but later found an emergency key. Inside they found a 22-year-old man lying on the bedroom floor. A woman, upset and shaken, was sitting on the bed with her baby. The man said he didn't answer the door because he's had trouble dealing with cops. Because he was already on court-ordered probation for battery, the state corrections officials ordered the man brought to county jail in Ellsworth.
