Plum City bank robber sentenced to 2.5 years prison

A River Falls man was sentenced to 2½ years prison Tuesday in Pierce County Circuit Court for bank robbery.

Denton Ewers, 49, was also ordered to spend the next four years on extended supervision upon his release as the sentence was handed down by Pepin/Buffalo County Judge James Duvall.


"If you rob a bank, bad things happen to you," Duvall said. "You cannot rob a bank and expect probation."
