Personnel firm relocates
River Falls Wisconsin 2815 Prairie Drive / P.O. Box 25 54022

Express Employment Professionals moved in early January from its former location in the River Falls M&I Bank, 103 S. Second St., to "...right behind McDonald's," says Express' General Manager Justin Bangtson.

"Now it's so much easier for me to tell people how to find us," Bangtson says, smiling. "Everybody knows where McDonald's is."

Bangtson explained Express made the move to give the employment service more visibility. It's now located at 1561 Commerce Court and shares the building with a dental office, bank and more.

Bangston said many times people would miss the previous Second Street location, as its sign was only visible to drivers traveling in one direction. Now, on Commerce Court, that's no longer an issue.

And despite massive job layoffs and business closings affecting the nation, Bangtson says, "There's still good stories out there. There are still places that are hiring and trying to find persons who will make the best fit."

Bangtson explained what a person seeking employment can expect from him and his staff of three workers when they walk into Express.

"They'll get a warm welcome (followed) by a gathering of information about what they've done and what they're looking for," he said. "Then we'll match them with clients who have various needs."

Bangtson said Express is an "...agent for clients (employers) looking for people," as well as an "...agent for associates (workers) looking for jobs."

During most days, about 5 to 10 associates fill out employment applications online at Express' Web site: www.expresspros.com, Bangtson said. At present he also has about three to five people walk into the office a day.

"Provided the associate has the proper documentation, they can be hired in an average of 24 hours," said Bangtson. "We're not a temp agency," he added. "We are a human resources solutions provider," that looks to fill permanent positions for the clients they serve.

An open house to celebrate Express' new location is planned for sometime in the future, said Bangtson, but meanwhile he encourages companies seeking workers as well as workers seeking employment to contact Express. Go to its web site, call Bangtson at 426-6134, or send him an e-mail at justin.bangtson@expresspros.com.
