Steven Mark, a life long resident of the River Falls-Ellsworth area, has been hired by Ellefson Appraisal, Inc. Mark will be location manager and senior appraiser at the firm's new office in New Richmond, which will offer an expansion of its appraisal, brokerage and leasing services. Mark will manage those services for clients. The new office is located at 130 S. Knowles Ave. There is another office at 424 Oak Avenue in Menomonie. Dan Treichel, a lineworker for River Falls Municipal Utilities, recently received the state Apprentice Leadership Award at the 23rd biennial Apprenticeship Conference and Expo sponsored by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development in Madison. Carl Gaulke, RFMU general manager, said Treichel was the first apprentice hired by the utilities company. In nominating Treichel, Gaulke said he could not be more pleased with the decision to enter the program and hire him. Treichel was one of three employees honored throughout Wisconsin. The two others included Alaina Gomez of Milwaukee and Ivan Milanovic of Appleton.
Steve Iversen, of River Falls, was recently was promoted to director of Wholesale Lending & Relationship Management (WLRM) at AgriBank, FCB. Iversen has been with the Farm Credit System for just over 26 years. He was raised in Evergreen Park, Ill., where his family still resides. AgriBank, located in St. Paul, is a financial intermediary, providing wholesale funds and services to Farm Credit Services organizations serving 15 states including Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.
Cheryl Ross, of River Falls business Amazing Space, Inc., was recently named the Associate of the Year by the St. Croix Valley Home Builders Association at its annual Holiday/Installation and Awards Banquet. She was named due to her commitment and involvement in the organization. Comments from her fellow members were: "This person embodies what this association is about -- is involved in many aspects of the association and is an all around great person to surround yourself with; extremely involved in committees and attending meetings; contributes to many of our functions and participates in everything; very helpful with questions and is always very friendly at the meetings; promotes St. Croix Valley Home Builders Association effectively; has won this award before, but just keeps on giving, we all know that it is easy to 'burn out' from all the extra work, but this person continues to be involved and giving on several committees and the board and runs a very respectable and honest business at the same time." Ross has been a member of the association since 1988 and serves on the Board of Directors, Home & Remodeling Committee, Tour of Homes Committee and Member Services Committee.
Scott Reuter, president of STR Construction, Inc., a local remodeling construction contractor in River Falls, has been accepted for membership to the local chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry of Minneapolis. NARI is the only trade association dedicated solely to the remodeling industry. Members must be in business a minimum of five years before they can apply for membership. Those who are accepted as members are considered professionals who voluntarily subscribe to a strict code of ethics and are committed to protecting the rights of their customers.
