Packer memorabilia auction starts Nov. 14
Green Bay fans who seek coveted Packer memorabilia will have a chance to bid on some starting next week.
Football legend from the 1960s, Paul Hornung, said today that he'll auction off some of his college and pro football treasures. They include an exact replica of the Heisman trophy he won at Notre Dame in 1956 and re-issues of three Green Bay Packers' championship rings from 1961, '65, and '66.
Hornung has other items to be auctioned, too. He says his health and finances are fine and have nothing to do with his decision to sell some items.
He said he wants some of his favorite charities to benefit from some of the items he's been honored to receive over the years.
The auction will run from Wednesday, Nov. 14, to Saturday, December 1. More information, including a list of the sale items, can be found online at the auctioneers' web site: www.spcauctions.com
