One more week to go if you want to run for local office
Bob Ebert has just become the fifth official candidate in races for city council and municipal judge. Here are the other four: Don Richards, Dave Cronk, Stan Meyers and June Cicero. Richards, the incumbent mayor, is running again. Cicero, the incumbent judge, is running again. Cronk in an incumbent running again for at-large council member. Meyers is a challenger for the at-large council member seat. Ebert, the incumbent, is running for District 4 council.
City Clerk Lu Ann Hecht reports that three other people are gathering signatures before returning their nomination papers to City Hall:
--Brian Rouquette, challenger for Dist. 4 council.
--Scott Morrissette and Jordan Kocak, both challengers for at-large council member.
Joleen Larson, an at-large city council member, has decided not to seek a fourth term. She will not be a candidate.
The spring election is April 6. Candidates need to have filed their nomination papers by the end of the work day Tuesday, Jan. 5.
