Two days before the opening of another fantastic outdoor Christmas display to the public, the season's first winter storm blew in. The lights, figures and props were buried and broken up. It was discouraging, said Karen Marsh, but rather than complain she got back to work fixing it back up.

After some 40 hours of repairs, the Christmas display outside, front and back, at the Roman Pechacek farm on County Road FF in the town of Clifton is back in business.

Everyone's invited to come, drive through and gaze. Many do so on Christmas Eve. Last year nearly 1,000 vehicle came for a tour!

Opening night for this year's spectacle is Friday, Dec. 18. People are encouraged to drive in after dark and loop around the back to see the entire display before exiting.

Marsh is a former school teacher in Hudson. She continues to substitute teach there.

Her father, Roman, began the outdoor Christmas decorations two decades ago.

Marsh, who lives next door, has not only expanded them, but also does displays for Halloween, Easter and July 4th.

Marsh's husband, Toby Garey, says about his wife's Christmas display: "You can't look at this and not see Christmas. On the other hand, not everyone enjoys Christmas the way we do."
