North Hall: One century and counting
UW-River Falls is getting ready to celebrate a big anniversary -- North Hall’s centennial. The building was dedicated 100 years ago this fall.
To recognize that anniversary, UWRF has formed a North Hall Centennial Celebration Committee.
The group is working to plan events celebrating North Halls’ centennial anniversary during 2014.
No official times or dates have been set for the events yet, but Kathryn Otto, head of University Archives and Area Research Center and co-chair of the North Hall Centennial Celebration Taskforce, said the committee plans a large event in the fall around Homecoming as well as other events.
Otto is co-chairing the committee with Don Richards.
The groundbreaking for North Hall was in October 1913. The building was officially dedicated as an administration and agricultural building on Nov. 9, 1914.
