A group of 15 people from the First Congregational United Church of Christ in River Falls attended the church's National Youth event on the campus of Purdue University in Lafayette, Ind. July 10-14. Church Pastor Chris Myers said it was a "great conference with incredible speakers." Thousands of teens from across the country went to workshops, helped with service projects and worshipped. The young locals listened to a talk by JR Martinez of Dancing with the Stars, heard gospel music played by Vy Higgensen from the Harlem School for Gospel and met many other teens.
