River Falls police need your help to find the vehicle driver who crossed a curb, nearly missing a light pole, went up a sidewalk and then through a yard before plowing into a rental house garage at 903 S. Main St., just before 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27.

The unidentified driver had been southbound on Main Street. The smashed garage is at the corner of Main and Charlotte streets. The structure sustained significant damage.

The tenants were home when the crash occurred but say they saw nothing.

It is known that after the crash, the driver backed up, drove out of the driveway, and headed west on Charlotte Street.

Two black pieces of tire were found in the yard and kept as evidence.

There was also a rub of white paint left on the house from where the car struck.

St. Croix Gas was called to make sure that gas and electric lines, connected through the garage, were undamaged and safe.
