Motorcyclist dies of injuries suffered last week
A 51-year-old Woodville man who was injured in a July 6 motorcycle accident died yesterday due to injuries suffered in the accident, according to the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department.
Keith Bazille, who was not wearing a helmet, was partially ejected from his 2007 Yamaha when it struck a deer on the road, causing the cycle to skid. He was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul and died there Wednesday, July 13.
His passenger, Kalley Bazille, 13, was also partially ejected from the motorcycle and was also taken to Regions for treatment of her injuries. Kalley was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The accident occurred at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, on 292nd Street about a half mile south of 80th Avenue in the St. Croix County town of Springfield.
This is the county's fifth traffic fatality of 2011. The crash remains under investigation by the St. Croix County Sheriff's Department.
