Minnesota teen injured in two-car collision

A Minnesota teenager was taken to River Falls Area Hospital Sunday afternoon following a two-car collision at the US Highway 63/County Highway N intersection. 

Rachael A. Lichtenberg, 18, Centerville, was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by Brandon S. Peterson, 22, Lino Lakes, who was northbound on Hwy. 63. Pierce County sheriff's deputy Ali Verges reports Peterson was attempting to negotiate a turn when his vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Matthew L. Olson, 30, Ellsworth. The accident happened around 4:35 p.m., in the town of Ellsworth. 

Lichtenberg was transported to River Falls Hospital by Ellsworth Ambulance with undetermined injuries. Verges added the accident is still under investigation.
