The victory improved the Wildcats' record to 7-0-1 in the BRC and moved them four points ahead of both Hudson (5-3-1) and Eau Claire Memorial (5-2-1) in the conference standings.

Bump led Vitale with a well-placed ball and Vitale deposited a shot into the upper right-hand corner of the net to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead 27 minutes in.

The pair hooked up again in the second half for Vitale's second goal of the game to make the final 2-0.

The Wildcats will wrap up the regular season with four straight home games. They can distance themselves even further from the BRC pack when they host Eau Claire Memorial on Tuesday, May 18, in a Parents Night game scheduled for 5 p.m.

Thursday, May 20, they host Menomonie (3-6-0) in the annual Go Pink game to raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Defending BRC champion Chippewa Falls (3-5-0) comes to town the next day at 4:30 p.m.

The Wildcats wrap up the regular season at home against Rice Lake (1-6-1) on Thursday, May 27, at 5 p.m.
