The man, taken to the hospital by ambulance, said his moped got the “speed wobbles” while doing 30 mph.

An officer who rode with the college student in the ambulance said he smelled of marijuana and alcohol.

The young man allegedly said he was drinking earlier in the day and smoking pot shortly before trying out the moped.

The man had just got the moped on the day of crashing it.

He was cited for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Earlier she had been drinking at the bars with friends and been told that her boyfriend had cheated on her. She came home to confront him.

By the time officers arrived, he had left for the hospital, claiming the woman shut a door on his finger, slicing off the nail.

A door in the apartment was found off its hinges.

There was also a two-month infant in the apartment and another woman.

The 23-year-old woman was finally arrested during the investigation after becoming hostile with officers, saying she wanted her baby back and for police to go unless they had a warrant.

She was taken to county jail in Ellsworth. There she failed the booking process.
