Mae Fern Healy, 93
Mae Fern Healy, 93, of River Falls, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at Kinnic Long Term Care.
Mae was born on May 29, 1914, the daughter of Wilbur and Mary (Olson) Rupert, in River Falls.
She attended River Falls public schools.
Mae was united in marriage to Arthur Healy of River Falls on June 24, 1933, in Reeve.
They resided in the River Falls area all of their married life. Mae worked at John Milbrath's Hatchery candling eggs for many years. She worked as a cook at the Kinnic Café (now The West Wind) and later at the Next Door Café in New Richmond until her retirement.
Mae was a very active member of First Covenant Church in River Falls. She worked with the Sunday School for many years, made many banners to decorate the sanctuary, and in more recent times, assembled bulletins and prepared the sanctuary for worship services.
Mae was preceded in death by her parents: Wilbur and Mary Rupert; husband, Arthur Healy; brothers: Vernon Rupert and Glenn Rupert; sister, Dorothy Myer; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and most recently, brother-in-law, Erwin Zielke.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Zielke of Chippewa Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at First Covenant Church.
Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Mark Paulson, Rob Stevens, Mark Kimball, Bill Hickox, Gary Kruger and Jim Rupert.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert Stevens and Clarence Strandberg.
Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
