Kuehni sentenced to probation, jail time in fatal shooting case

Loomis, Cats win BRC golf titles

Two-time BRC Player of the Year Garrett Loomis.

Sophomore Garrett Loomis won his second straight Big Rivers Conference Player of the Year award and the Wildcat golf team's second place finish was good enough to give them the overall BRC title at the BRC Tournament Thursday at Lake Wissota Golf Course in Chippewa Falls.

Loomis earned tournament medalist honors with a score of 73 to clinch his second straight Player of the Year honor. After sweeping the BRC matches during the regular season, the Wildcats finished four strokes behind Hudson with a team score of 326 to give them the overall BRC championship.

Blake Heiman tied for ninth with a score of 82 while Mike Xiong carded an 84 and Holden Ohlsen finished with an 87 to round out the Wildcats' team total. Jake Knotek came win with 88.

Heiman joined Loomis on the All-BRC First Team while Ohlsen earned a spot on the All-BRC Second Team.
