RIVER FALLS

Halloween light display

Drive through a Halloween decoration display, 6-10 p.m. nightly through Nov. 2, weather permitting, at the Roman Pechacek farm at W11386, County Road FF in the town of Clifton. There will be Halloween inflatables, scarecrows, witches, ghosts, a pirate area and treats at the trellis for kids. Bring a non-perishable food item or donation for the local food shelf.

Chamber business expo

The River Falls Chamber will sponsor a business expo from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the River Falls High School. This free event will feature family fun activities throughout the day and a complete entertainment schedule. Children are welcome to come in costume and trick-or-treat.

Faith Lutheran Church fall festival

From 4-7 p.m. at 545 Apollo Road, will feature numerous family activities, bounces house, face painting, popcorn, games, food and a trunk or treat.

Luther Memorial Church trunk or treat

From 5-7 p.m. at, 420 S. Fourth Street, will feature a trunk or treat, bounce houses, business booths, pizza dinner and door prizes

UWRF trick or treating

Students through fifth grade at local elementary schools are invited to trick or treat at the UW-River Falls residence halls from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. Children must be accompanied by an adult. A campus map is available at www.uwrf.edu. Halloween food drive

A Halloween harvest food drive will be held from 4:30-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at 226 South Wasson Lane. Bring a non-perishable food donation and walk the “Trail of Terror.” There will be candy and photo ops. All food and cash donations support River Falls’ families.

Library haunted house

The River Falls Public Library, 140 Union Street, will host the annual Halloween haunted house, “The Library Labyrinth of Not So Terrible Terror” from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31. This free event is good for small children and their parents. There will be games to make the wait go quickly. Everyone inside at 9 p.m. will be able to go through. Abundant Life fall carnival

Abundant Life Church/Abundant Life Learning Center, 896 State Road 65, will host a fall carnival from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.Everyone is welcome to partake in free carnival games, prizes, candy, and refreshments. Please bring candy donations for the event and food donations for the River Falls Community Food Pantry.

HUDSON

Hilltop Pumpkin Party

The Hilltop Pumpkin Party will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday Oct. 26, at the YMCA Camp St. Croix Day Camp, 532 County Road F. Events include pet costume contest at 11:30 a.m., kids costume parade at noon with contest at 12:30 p.m., and St. Croix County K-9 demonstrations at 2 p.m. All day activities include horse drawn wagon rides through the woods, bounce houses, petting zoo, pony rides ($4), free pumpkins, face painting, and more. Willow River Halloween party

Willow River State Park Nature Center is hosting its annual Halloween Bash from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday Oct. 26. This event is $2 per child and vehicle admission into the park is required. Visit the Nature Center exhibits, play fun Halloween games for prizes, and go on a "spooky" nature hike. Call 715-386-9340 for more information.

Halloween parade

The 60th annual Halloween Parade will be held at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Newton Field, at E.P. Rock Elementary School. Sign-up starts at 4 pm. There will be cash prizes for best costumes and goodie bags. Cost is one non-perishable food item.
