Local author Michele Klecker-Sailor signs copies of her first book “The Patient Leaf” after it’s publication in 2009, at the River Falls Public Library. Klecker-Sailor will participate in “Local Author Day,” hosted by Fox Den Used Books, on Aug. 17, signing copies of her new book, “Max.”

River Falls native Michele Klecker-Sailor enjoys reading books to the children she works with as an early childhood educator in River Falls. She will soon bring a new book to the mix: her second published children's story, "Max."


Klecker-Sailor has been writing for as long as she can remember, from diaries to short stories.

“I’ve always kind of known what I wanted to do,” Klecker-Sailor said.
