Letter: We're not servants
Finally, it's clear: Scott Walker and his Republican cronies think of public employees as members of the servant class.
We plow their streets, pick up their garbage, care for their children during school hours, and protect their (frequently gated) communities.
But, as servants, we don't deserve a place at Master's table; even to bargain collectively about the work we do.
We live in a democracy, not a plutocracy. The Republicans don't get to tell us where to sit, when we can speak, and what we can say.
It's time to recall the patricians.
