Letter: UWRF students: Don’t bolt, look before you cross
I am very aware that college is back in session as there are students walking everywhere.
As a driver I try to see them as much as possible. I gladly stop when they are in a crosswalk to legally cross the street, but I am getting heart palpitations having to stop on command (and risk getting rear-ended) because students walk across all streets at all times without consideration for the drivers.
We all can exist together, but students, please do not assume that a car sees you and is automatically going to stop if you bolt into oncoming traffic. An occasional ‘wave’ to say thanks is appreciated, too.
