Let the Easter Eggs roll
River Falls Wisconsin 2815 Prairie Drive / P.O. Box 25 54022

If you have young kids, mark your calendars for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at Glen Park. That's when an Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the River Falls Lions and the university's Falcon Fellows, will be held. A free, public, Easter Egg Hunt was once a tradition in River Falls, but there hasn't been one for more than a decade.

"It'll be a nice opportunity to bring this back," said Lion member and organizer Rose Rude. "The kids should have a blast."

More than 1,500 plastic eggs stuffed with candy, toys and stickers will be placed around Glen Park. All participating kids will get a free cookie, compliments of local Best Maid Cookie Company, and a raffle ticket for prize drawings.

The Easter Eggs will be placed in age-appropriate sections labeled for children 2 years old and under; 3-5 years old; 6-9 years old; and 10-12 years old.

The Easter Bunny will also be on hand for the March 27 event, and there will be carnival games, craft tables and face painting.

A concession stand, with proceeds going to Lions Club charities, will sell food and refreshments.
