Lender asks for foreclosure on house where children died

The River Falls house in which a man allegedly killed his three young daughters last summer is in foreclosure.

Last week, Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union of St. Paul began foreclosure proceedings against Aaron Schaffhausen, Minot, N.D., now in the St. Croix County Jail.


According to the foreclosure complaint, Schaffhausen borrowed $170,153 on April 30, 2012, for a mortgage on the house at 2790 Morningside Ave., River Falls.
