Police, rescue workers, emergency medical personnel, firefighters and tow truck operators work to clear the scene of an Semi-tanker accident on I-94 in Hudson Monday morning. Both eastbound and westbound traffic backed up as law enforcement closed freeway lanes to give workers room to remove the driver from the overturned rig and remove the 18-wheeler from the median wall. Freelance photographer Keith Crowley took this shot looking west toward the St. Croix River bridge.

The crash of a semi-tractor and trailer in Hudson Monday morning snarled traffic on Interstate 94 for more than an hour.

At 8:40 a.m., an eastbound County Concrete rig driven by Ronald Oldenberger, 64, of Eau Claire, sideswiped a second eastbound semi-truck, veered into the center median wall and overturned.

The Mack tractor came to rest with the driver's side door on top of the median wall, while the trailer fell over the wall and lay on the westbound side of the freeway.
